Professor Rose John
Prof. Rose Rani John is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Baylor University, with a dedicated career in Computer Science and Engineering since 2008. Currently pursuing her PhD in Computer Science and Engineering, Rose focuses on scheduling challenges, particularly virtual machine placement in Cloud Computing, while her broader research interests include the Bin Packing Problem, Software Agents for decision support systems, and a developing interest in Membrane Computing. She holds a master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences and an undergraduate degree from Cochin University of Science and Technology in India.
Rose has contributed to the field through publications in both conferences and journals and has further distinguished herself as a Subject Matter Expert within industry settings. As an active member of the American Society for Engineering Education, Rose stays abreast of the latest advancements in the field. She believes strongly in leveraging education to foster responsible, technically skilled citizens grounded in character, values, and ethics. Her mission is to empower students to find innovative solutions to real-world problems and make a meaningful impact on society. Known affectionately as a "preaching professor," Rose is deeply committed to inspiring students, colleagues, and those around her to realize their potential and embrace their unique destinies. A true "hope carrier," she shares her faith, personal testimonies, and the word of God passionately, extending her ministry through her church both locally and internationally.
